ApexClip generates faceless short-form videos (YouTube Shorts / TikTok / Reels style). Typical path: pick a trend or enter a custom topic → AI writes a script → text-to-speech voiceover → subtitle alignment → FFmpeg composition with optional BGM, watermark, and caption styles. You can download the finished MP4 without connecting social accounts.

Use Library → Downloads for a gallery with download buttons, or My Projects for history, favorites, tags, and multi-format export. Projects are saved when a burn completes successfully.

Yes. During generation, open the Script Editor on the pipeline card, edit the text, then continue. This is the best way to fix tone, length, or brand voice before spending TTS/burn credits.

Repurpose is for long-form uploads (podcast/video): transcribe → segment viral moments → extract clips → text derivatives. Transcribe / clip extract requires Starter or Pro (not free). The free path is still trends/custom topic → faceless short.

A full faceless short usually costs about 2–4 credits end-to-end on the default path (Flash/Haiku script + stock/slideshow + Edge TTS + burn). Edge TTS is free. Premium models cost more. Multi-format export is 3 credits; Content Suite is 5+ credits; AI video (Grok Imagine / Veo) is 12–15 credits and requires Starter or Pro. Free plan cannot use premium models or AI video. The dashboard credit-gate shows the live cost before you run an action. Signed-in clients can also read the JSON table at GET /api/pricing/credits.

Credits reset on a rolling ~30-day window from your last reset (not necessarily calendar month 1st). Unused credits do not roll over. Bonus credits from referrals or top-ups are added on top of your plan allotment.

Actions that need credits return an error when balance is too low. Options:

• Upgrade plan from Pricing (Stripe checkout).
• Buy a credit pack in Settings → Credits & Plan (if billing is configured).
• Enable overage billing in Settings if you want metered continue-when-empty (optional; you control this toggle).
• Wait for the next credit reset window.

Yes. Invite friends from Referrals in the dashboard. When they sign up with your code, both of you typically get a +50 credit bonus (subject to the live referral rules in product).

Paid plans use the Stripe Customer Portal:

1. Go to Settings → Credits & Plan.
2. Click Manage Subscription.
3. In Stripe: cancel, update card, or adjust the subscription as offered.

After cancel completes, the account returns to the free plan. You keep access to videos already generated; publishing/scheduling features lock again on free.

Note: Manage Subscription only works if you previously completed a paid checkout (Stripe customer exists). Free-only accounts should use Pricing to subscribe first.

Usually the Stripe webhook has not applied yet, or webhook secrets are misconfigured on the server. Hard-refresh the dashboard. If still Free after a few minutes, email support with the email you used at checkout and approximate charge time — we can reconcile from Stripe.

Cancel anytime via Settings → Credits & Plan → Manage Subscription (Stripe portal). The app does not auto-refund unused credits for partial periods. For duplicate charges or accidental upgrades, email support@apexclip.pro with account email + charge date — refunds are reviewed case-by-case in Stripe. There is no 24/7 live refund desk.

1. Upgrade to Starter+ if needed.
2. Connect platforms under Integrations (or Settings → Platform Connections).
3. From Downloads, Publish Hub, or a project card, use the YouTube / TikTok / Instagram publish actions.

TikTok uploads may default to a private/self-only visibility for safety depending on configuration. Instagram Reels require a business/creator account and a publicly reachable video URL.

Scheduling is available on Starter and Pro. Use Schedule and the Calendar views to queue jobs. The server runs a background worker that executes due jobs; failed jobs show status badges you can inspect and cancel.

Refresh tokens expire or get revoked. Disconnect and reconnect the platform under Integrations. Also check the provider account for security challenges, daily upload limits, or missing page/role permissions (especially Instagram).

Account login OAuth (Google/Apple) is separate from publishing OAuth (YouTube / TikTok / Instagram under Integrations). If Google or Apple buttons fail on /login, use email and password, or email support@apexclip.pro.

Check caps lock, try the email you used at signup, and try Sign in with Google/Apple if that is how you created the account. Account login OAuth is separate from YouTube/TikTok/Instagram publishing OAuth under Integrations. If Google/Apple buttons do nothing, use the email and password you registered with, or email support@apexclip.pro.

There is no self-serve email-change UI in the dashboard today. Email support@apexclip.pro with the current account email and the change you need. For paid plans, cancel via Settings → Credits & Plan → Manage Subscription (Stripe portal) first if you want billing to stop.

Brief interruptions can happen during deploys (API restart). There is no public status page.

• Wait 2–5 minutes, hard-refresh, or try a private window.
• Retry /login and the dashboard — they share the same API.
• If a short was mid-pipeline, check Downloads / My Projects after refresh; some jobs finish after the blip.
• Still broken after ~10 minutes: email support@apexclip.pro with account email, approx UTC time, and the page you were on.

The first AI step is script generation (Gemini via POST /api/generate). If it fails, voice and burn never start. The site can still look “up” (health green ≠ generate green).

• If you added a personal key under Settings → API keys, clear it or replace it with a valid Google AI Studio Gemini key. Leave empty to use the platform key.
• Error text like API key not valid or No Gemini API key configured means the key in use is missing or rejected — not a bad topic.
• HTTP 502 / “Gemini API returned no content” means the model call failed after the step started.
• If you never set a personal key and it still fails, email support@apexclip.pro with account email, plan, UTC time, full error, and remaining credits.

Script generate charges only after a usable script comes back (non-empty title and body). A failed generate — invalid API key, empty model response, 502, or no script returned — does not consume credits. The dashboard credit chip should match your pre-click balance; refresh the page if it looks stale. A successful generate still costs the usual amount: about 1 credit for Flash/Haiku, 3 for the Pro model option. Voice (TTS) and burn are separate steps and are not covered by this rule. If a later step fails after the script succeeded, the generate charge stays. If a failed generate itself moved your balance, email support@apexclip.pro with account email, UTC time, error text, and remaining credits (case-by-case review — no 24/7 refund desk). Order of operations: script → voice (TTS) → captions (align) → burn.

• Refresh the dashboard and check Downloads / project status (sometimes burn finished after refresh).
• Confirm you still have enough credits mid-pipeline — later steps can fail with Not enough credits even if script succeeded.
• Script / generate failed — see the FAQ above (API key / Gemini).
• TTS failed — retry with a shorter script or different voice; ElevenLabs needs a valid key if you use that path.
• Align / captions failed — shorter sentences help; “Subtitle alignment service unavailable” means the align service is down (retry later).
• Burn failed — re-run burn if the UI allows; otherwise start a new project from the same topic. Project may show status failed.

Credits are checked when each billable step runs. Earlier steps can succeed and later ones fail with Not enough credits. N remaining. Credits already spent are not auto-refunded. Upgrade, buy a pack (if enabled), enable overage, or wait for the rolling ~30-day reset — then re-run the remaining step or a new project. See Credits & plans.

Captions come from forced alignment on the TTS audio. Try a clearer script (shorter sentences), a different voice, or another caption style preset before re-burning. Word-level highlight depends on the alignment service being healthy.

Autopilot, batch, and teams are Pro. Publish + schedule + transcribe are Starter+. Free is intentionally limited to generation + download so you can validate quality before paying.
